For our very first charity event, we chose The Semper Fi Fund by recommendation of one of our supporters, Army Sergeant First Class Caleb Brewer (Ret.). Caleb was injured during his time in service and knows the very real sacrifices and issues our veterans face on a daily basis. That's where organizations such as SFF step in. The Semper Fi Fund provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post-9/11 combat wounded, critically ill and catastrophically injured members of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.
Thanks to this amazing community, we raised $3,000 dollars for the Semper Fi Fund by encouraging donations in lieu of any registration costs for the two day event.
The run was an absolute hit! We experienced every type of terrain this great state has to offer; from the smooth forest service roads of Bloody Basin to the slightly muddy Senator Hwy, from the winding hills East of Crown King to the rocky yet fast trophy truck test area of Geiser Loop. Everyone got a little taste of everything. Our main focus during this event wasn't to rack up as many miles as possible per day, but to focus on community and to get to know each other.
We thank everyone for their amazing support and we are already looking forward to making this an annual event!
